Brief biography: 

Dr. Alperovich is a plastic surgeon. He is an Associate Professor and Director of Craniofacial Surgery at Yale. Raised in Connecticut, Dr. Alperovich left the Nutmeg State to attend college at Harvard, graduate school at Oxford, and medical school at Johns Hopkins. He trained in plastic surgery, followed by craniofacial surgery at New York University’s Department of Plastic Surgery, before joining the Yale faculty in 2016.

Dr. Alperovich has been named to Connecticut Magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for many consecutive years as well as to New York Magazine’s New York Metro “Top Doctors” list. He has been invited nationally and internationally as a visiting professor and guest faculty. Dr. Alperovich has authored over 240 publications, multiple plastic surgery book chapters, and serves as an Associate Editor for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, the primary journal for the specialty, and as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Alperovich is a proud father to 4 children with his wife, who is also a physician and Yale faculty member. He spends his free time Ubering his children to their activities, playing tennis with elders like himself, and rowing early mornings along Connecticut’s rivers. He is excited to connect with any Yale students who have an interest in medicine, surgery, or service.
