Nolyn Mjema

First-Year Counselor (FroCo)

Welcome to Morse! My name is Nolyn Mjema. I’m originally from Oklahoma but spent much of my life in Houston, Texas. I’m a Tanzanian-American student majoring in Biochemistry, with plans to attend medical school in the future. Outside the classroom, I’m deeply passionate about service. You’ll often find me at the Yale Community Kitchen, volunteering with the Community Healthcare Van, or mentoring middle school students in New Haven through the Yale Black Men’s Union. When I’m not focused on academics or extracurriculars, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time at the gym.
